At first and last, the hearty welcome.

Writing, reading, and recommending books in upstate New York.
When I was all of 12 years old, I fell in love with Master Shakespeare. A few decades later and I now hold my PhD in English with a specialization in Shakespeare and performance studies. I’ve performed in, produced, or directed over 50 productions. Top 5 favorite roles: Cassius in Julius Caesar, Portia in The Merchant of Venice, Dennis in As You Like It, and the title roles in Richard II and Hamlet. This love informs my journey from actor-scholar to historical fiction writer.
I live with my husband and our canine companions, Cosmo and Arrow. We miss our irreplaceable “Pippigus” who crossed the Rainbow Bridge in 2021 and 2022. To honor their memories, we foster with Mountain Rottie Rescue.

“This above all; to thine own self be true:
And it must follow as the Night the Day,
Thou canst not then be false to any man.”
